Rutland County Council’s Multum Award 2022

Congratulations to Year 13 student Ashley who has won Rutland County Council’s Multum Award 2022 for her work as a Public Servant.

The Youth Council talk about issues that affect young people in Rutland, represent young people’s views and take action on them. They carry out consultations with other young people, give presentations at conferences, meet with County councillors and get involved in planning local campaigns.

In addition to supporting the County Council the Youth Council works with local businesses and voluntary sector organisations who aim to help children and young people live a better life in Rutland. The Youth Council also works with other young people’s groups run by the Council including the Rutland Disabled Youth Council, the LGBT+ group, the Children in Care Council, Aiming High groups and the local Youth clubs. Ashley has made sure that these groups all work together providing a consistent message to adults.

Well done Ashley, this is a fantastic achievement.
