Following the success of past Harington students achieving the Guinness world record for the fastest motorised toilet, our current cohort of physics students are embarking on a new challenge; a student-driven electric vehicle.

The plan is to enter their vehicle in a regional competition with the Greenpower Educational Trust https://www.greenpower.co.uk/ , with a view to potentially qualifying for their annual final.

Currently the students are in the process of fundraising for their “Green Machine”, and are looking for sponsorship from companies or individuals.

Can you help our future engineers with their challenge? Would you like your company logo to be hurtling around Silverstone or Goodwood without adding to carbon dioxide emission? Are you able to deliver a talk or mentoring for our student team, or assist them in any way?
