Biology Field Trip

Harington School’s Year 12 biologists recently visited The Allerton Project in Leicestershire, for their annual field trip. The Allerton Project is a branch of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust which researches the effects of different farming methods on wildlife and the environment within the context of a commercial farm. Students were able to learn about the research conducted at the facility and had the chance to carry out some ecology investigations of their own. Despite the mixed weather our students displayed a great attitude throughout, enabling them to get to grips with the techniques needed to study the local wildlife on site.
