Trips and visits is a crucial part of the experience of being a Harington student. Every year we set your teaching staff the challenge of running at least one trip per subject and they never disappoint. We are able to run a range of trips both residential and day. Some trips are curriculum based – for example both Geography and Biology have residential trips as part of their course, History has an annual trip to Auschwitz as the Holocaust is studied as part of the history coursework, and our three modern languages (French, Spanish and German) have biannual trips to the Paris, Barcelona and Stuttgart. Non residential trips are varied from visiting theatre productions with English to the Space museum for our Physicists. Our other trips are there for your enjoyment. In recent years we have ran World Challenge Expeditions to Ecuador and Malaysia, Ski trips to Canada, and swimming (of sorts) at the Aqua Park in Rutland.
Information for each trip including payment details will be included in a letter which you will receive from the School either via your child or via groupcall. The payments made for trips are non refundable unless specified so please ensure that your child is committed to a trip before the deposit and subsequent instalments are made.
