Expedition Wales

At the end of last term Harington students enjoyed a couple of days in the Brecon Beacons, with training provided by Expeditions Wales. After a frosty night they headed up the mountains for their first day of navigation training which went well and left them in high spirits. The second day was tougher going. After packing up camp in the rain they faced a misty day with intermittent heavy rainfall. The weather cleared on the third day giving them fantastic views over the mountains.

There have been a few tears and tantrums as groups faced not just the physical challenges but the added psychological challenges of the ever changing Welsh weather. They have overcome these hurdles admirably and done an excellent job of supporting each other.
